Joan Banach, Industrial Engineer, graduated from the School of Engineering in Barcelona (Spain) with a PhD in energy specialization. From 1993 to 2001, he created and directed a subsidiary in Spain of a Spanish International Industrial Group leader in the manufacture, sale and operation of energy facilities. During this time he sold, developped and followed heavy engineering turnkey projects in the energy sector: Cogeneration systems and trigeneration (industry, hospitals, coal mines, sports centers ...), energy recovery from biomass and / or biogas (landfill of household waste water treatment plants, animals waste treatment plants, ...).

He also made hundreds of ENERGY DIAGNOSIS in many references (40 MVA) in the industrial sector (textile, paper, food processing, ceramics, ...) and the service sector.

In 2001 he joined International Paper in Paris (30 B$ CA, 100,000 people) International Group worldwide leader in the manufacture of pulp, paper, paperboard and wood products, as Director Development and Innovation products- Europe. In 2003, he was promoted to a position of Marketing and Communication of Western Europe within the same company..

In 2005, he created Efi Energies, an independent energy consulting firm specializing in the sale, design, implementation and assistance in project management solutions for energy engineering. He became a certified trainer in the areas of solar thermal, photovoltaic, geothermal, and biomass. In 2008, he sold the business to the company Luxsolis (Eiffage group) and took the Technical Director positions at Luxsolis and Director of engineering Luxsolis Engineering (7 engineers). During this period, he managed ENR projects, commercial refrigeration, BBC and HQE more concretely, a photovoltaic project of 60 MWp.
